Now, with the law of the land decided, the Governor has enacted an executive order, one which provides facilities - including those that receive state and federal monies - the right to refuse service or status to those who are in a marriage the Supreme Court has said should be the law of the land.
Today, Equality Kansas took to their pages to denounce not just Sam Brownback's policy, but to point out a legal conclusion reached by several prominent attorneys: the governor has just decided that he can decree by fiat over any and all Kansas entities, giving his office powers that are not only clearly unconstitutional, but also reflect a scary attitude toward government as a whole.
