With Furlough Notices Going Out, KS Representatives Ask: Do You Have a Plan?

The Kansas House met today, day 106 in hopes of making further progress on a budget and tax policy. Instead, the legislators seem further divided as the body has formed clear bright lines around the ideological desires of house members.

When confronted with the plan, Senator Donovan informed the committee that "this is going to be a rough sell"... his prediction was well founded as the conference report was roundly rejected by the house this afternoon, leaving Kansas far short of a budget in place.
